Indeed, Eclipse Demand Continues
Indeed.com has updated their job trend data through October, and it's great to see Eclipse trends doing well. The gap with Visual Studio continues to narrow, albeit slightly since May. Putting the "Java" moniker on Eclipse and comparing to Java IDE's, you can see Eclipse really pulling away.

This is probably because Eclipse is a platform that you write for, more than the others.
Or it could show that Eclipse is harder to use, and therefore that job posters need to make sure that you are experienced with Eclipse to fit in.
Unique IP address downloads or connections to update centres are probably better measures, though not perfect.
